The North Texas Wranglers gathered for their October 2025 Strenuous Saturday to continue beta-testing the new subregion theme, “Prepare to Hunt.” This month’s focus centered on readiness, discipline, and the refinement of marksmanship skills ahead of the approaching hunting season.
The team, consisting of @cfoandrew, @Kreezeeyak, @thebrewvian, @jkwhitley, @veterandaddfw, and several new recruits, met outside Josephine, Texas, where the morning air carried both anticipation and the smell of spent powder. The training area was set up to challenge each member’s accuracy and consistency across multiple firearms.
Throughout the day, participants rotated through a series of exercises emphasizing rifle zeroing, pistol control, and shotgun handling. The drills combined traditional marksmanship fundamentals with field scenarios meant to simulate real hunting conditions. The team emphasized safety, precision, and adaptability, ensuring that each member could operate confidently under pressure.
In addition to sharpening technical skills, the event reinforced the Wrangers’ camaraderie and shared ethos of preparedness. Laughter mixed with the sharp cracks of gunfire as veterans and newcomers alike shared insights, adjusted stances, and traded tips between rounds. By afternoon’s end, every participant had improved both in form and focus, carrying forward the group’s commitment to physical, mental, and situational readiness.
The October Strenuous Saturday marked another successful step in refining the “Prepare to Hunt” theme, strengthening both skill and brotherhood as the North Texas Wrangers head into the colder months and a busy season ahead.
