TSL Texas
The Lone Star leads the charge in the TSL way!
"The conquest of Texas should properly be classed with conquests like those of the Norse sea-rovers. The virtues and faults alike of the Texans were those of a barbaric age. They were restless, brave, and eager for adventure, excitement, and plunder; they were warlike, resolute, and enterprising; they had all the marks of a young and hardy race, flushed with the pride of strength and self-confidence. On the other hand, they showed again and again the barbaric vices of boastfulness, ignorance, and cruelty; and they were utterly careless of the rights of others, looking upon the possessions of all weaker races as simply their natural prey."
— Teddy Roosevelt

Texas Subregions
In The Strenuous Life program, members are assigned to a geographical region based on where they live when they finish TSL boot camp. Some of those geographical regions will be divided into subregions. As you can imagine, Texas is a region that requires subregions.
Initially, there were five Texas subregions: DFW, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and El Paso. While initially an excellent way to divide the state, many members did not fit into one of the metropolitan-centric subregions.
In 2021, the Texas region was restructured to represent the state better. Four additional subregions were created for a total of nine. They were also restructured away from the metro names to cover geographical ones. While Texas could be broken into further subregions, it was decided that nine subregions best represented a balanced management of size and effectiveness of the TSL program.
When you graduate from boot camp, please ensure you are assigned to the proper subregion. We recognize that where you may live may fall in an in-between area. Just because your home may fall inside the boundaries of one subregion, you can be a part of another subregion. Join the subregion you wish to be a member of.

TSL Foundation
I wish to preach, not the doctrine of ignoble ease, but the doctrine of the strenuous life, the life of toil and effort, of labor and strife; to preach that highest form of success which comes, not to the man who desires mere easy peace, but to the man who does not shrink from danger, from hardship, or from bitter toil, and who out of these wins the splendid ultimate triumph.
