Texas StrenFests

Festival of Strenuosity (StrenFest)

A StrenFest is a field meet for doers. Born from The Art of Manliness and The Strenuous Life, it brings members together to test grit, learn useful skills, and strengthen fellowship. Think hands-on workshops, practical challenges, and shared meals around a fire. You practice virtues, build competence, and leave better than you arrived. Simple idea. Big impact.

What happens at a StrenFest? You might learn land navigation with a map and a compass. You might try hiking, knotwork, fire building, first aid, or nature journaling. You teach what you know and learn what you do not. The day moves between instruction, reps, and reflection. No spectators. Everyone participates.

Texas StrenFest

The Texas Region of The Strenuous Life held its first StrenFest in 2022. Texas StrenFest I set the tone. Members gathered, pitched camp, shared skills, and closed the weekend with stronger bodies and stronger bonds. Since then, Texas has kept the streak. Every Autumn, the group meets for a new round of training, challenges, and camaraderie. The details change each year. The spirit stays the same.

Call to Action
