The North Texas Wranglers of the Texas region held their June subregional meeting at The Original Roy Hutchins BBQ in Trophy Club, TX. The gathering offered a potent mix of planning, reflection, and great food in a relaxed setting. In attendance was Jason and Shawn with John and Garrett connected remotely (thus missing out on the delicious BBQ).
The group reviewed the first half of 2025, highlighting what worked well and identifying areas where the subregion and its members could grow. From successful events to new member engagement, the first six months demonstrated solid progress with room for further growth.
Looking ahead, the Wranglers voted to introduce a new subregional theme for the second half of the year: “Prepare for the Hunt." This theme is designed to encourage readiness and action, both physically and mentally, as members prepare for the upcoming Texas hunting seasons.
A calendar of events is being finalized to support this effort. Planned activities include strength and endurance workouts, hikes, trips to shotgun and rifle ranges, a hunter’s safety course, and other outdoor-related events. These experiences aim to promote fitness, skill-building, and community connection.

As always, the meeting featured great conversation and camaraderie, fueled by the outstanding BBQ that Roy Hutchins is known for. It was a fitting setting for both reflection and casting a vision for the months ahead.
With the new theme guiding the way, the North Texas Wranglers are ready to make the second half of 2025 even more impactful.
