North Texas Wranglers Ruck Assessment 2

The North Texas Wranglers had their 2024 Ruck Assessment 2, covering a distance of 2.6 miles along Bear Creek Park in Keller, TX, on Saturday, April 6, 2024. In attendance were Jason W. (@jkwhitley), Garrett M. (@ghmartin), and Shawn P. (@thelonestarveteran). 

The assessment challenge was to cover the distance in 45 minutes or less. A minimum of ten pounds was desired, but if a member participated in the first assessment, he or she was asked to carry five more pounds.

As his first assessment, Garrett participated in the original distance; Jason and Shawn, participants in the first ruck assessment, doubled the trail and officially covered 5.2 miles in 1 hour 38 minutes (though there was some absent-minded loitering at the end and a couple of stops for traffic.)

Afterward, the group added back some of the calories they had expended while enjoying breakfast at Seven Mile Cafe.
